Biden DESTROYS Bush for his comments regarding Obama today

Now this is some Democratic unity.  We've had Emaneul, Dean, Pelosi, and Kerry already come to Obama's defense this morning, but Joe Biden has trumped them with raw emotion and simple truth:

"This is bullshit, this is malarkey. This is outrageous, for the president of the United States to go to a foreign country, to sit in the Knesset . . . and make this kind of ridiculous statement."

"He is the guy who has weakened us," he said. "He has increased the number of terrorists in the world. It is his policies that have produced this vulnerability that the U.S. has. It's his [own] intelligence community [that] has pointed this out, not me."

"If he thinks this is appeasement, is he going to come back and fire his own cabinet?" Biden asked. "Is he going to fire Condi Rice?"

If this is any indication of what the general election is going to be like, then we are wimpy Democrats no more.  Here's to you, Joe.

Pause the bickering to nail GWB (2.00 / 3)

I think we should pause the intra-party bickering about the primaries for at least one news cycle and put all our efforts into taking on GWB.

The current administration has gone against the long standing policy of not talking partisan politics outside the US.  It is even worse that he did so while giving a speech to a foreign legislative body.  It is just unacceptable.

Lets rally together and collectively as a party tell Bush to fuck off.

Re: Biden KILLS Bush for his comments regarding Ob (none / 0)

He should be impeached immediately.

Regarding the title to the diary (none / 0)

While I endorse taking on Bush for being an idiot, I do not think you should ever put kill and the president together in the same sentence.

I know what you want it to mean but it still gives me the willys.

I think that's a bit of a sensitive read - it didn't even dawn on me - but I take your point.

Biden should challenge him to a duel like Zell Miller.

If you are not voting Obama, please let me know so I can replace your sorry ass with another new voter.

Thank god (2.00 / 1)

Trust me, Bush will pay for these comments, and John McCain will too.

Thanks Bush, you just made yourself look like an ass to the nation of Israel.

You equated Obama with the man who destroyed 8 million of their people.

brilliant George!

Re: Biden DESTROYS Bush for his comments regarding (none / 0)

This is the sort of thing I want to see more of.  I wish Obama's response had sounded more like this, and less like John Kerry.

I'm not saying Joe Biden would have been our best candidate but I developed a tremendous amount of respect for him in this primary.  It's a shame he didn't get more love from the voters.

Re: Good for Biden (2.00 / 1)

Once again Bush shows the world his ignorance. His speech writers really should have done better research...a US Senator said what? Oh yes, said this:

*    William Edgar Borah, senator from Idaho 1907-1940 (http://en.wikipedia.org/...)
"Lord, if I could only have talked with Hitler, all this might have been avoided." --September 1939, upon hearing that Hitler had invaded Poland.

Geezez, Borah was a Republican that ran for the presidency.

There's no denying who this remark was aimed at though. This is what you get when the people elect a fool with no common sense or diplomatic ability. Bush needs to be rebuked by every sitting in the Senate and House. Those that refuse to do so are little more than terrorist appeasers themselves. Truly disgraceful.

Some of you need to think carefully about voting for McCain or even allowing him to be president. It would be nothing more than a continuation this. No amount of pouting over a Dem candidate is worth that.

Wow, BIG props to Biden! Go Joe! (none / 0)

Dubya's behavior was even more disgraceful than usual. Fuck him, and fuck the entire GOP. We're not going to be afraid of those assholes anymore. Stick a fork in that entire party -- they're done.

Even John McCain lusts after teh engels.

Prez's Remarks Not Directed Solely at Obama (none / 0)

Bush is a scared little man. Only about a quarter of Americans think he's doing a good job. So, Bush is only slightly relevant.

By the way, you and the coroporate media are jumping the gun on this by saying the President called out Obama. The President did not name Obama or any other Democrat in his remarks. So, although he is mostly irrelevant, his statement should be considered an affront to Democrats, not as an Obama or Clinton supporter.

Why did the Messiah think this was about him? (none / 0)

It was a dumb comment about the left in general.

Re: Biden DESTROYS Bush (none / 0)

Wow!  Biden really stood up to Bush!  Really how pathetic!  Bush should have been impeached over a year ago and be sitting in prison by now!  All this Congress can do is curse on the floor of the Senate and I'm supposed to get excited!  Borrowing from Biden 'BS'!
